I challange yOu.

My close friend Lisa and I lead a middle school girl's small group together and it has been quite the experience! Middle school girls are AMAZING! [ you rock too high school girls ; ) ] It is wonderful to serve side by side with a close friend- every girl needs a close friend!

Check out Lisa's blog :
http://www.lisa3p.blogspot.com/ and you'll find out how awesome she is and why I love being tight with her!

Last week we gave the small group girls a list of 20 challanges they could choose from and told them to do at least 1. The challanges were great because they were fun and yet also made a difference in others' lives..

Here are some examples:

  1. Sing a song to God..
  2. Clean up a room at your church..
  3. Write a note to an elderly person at a nursing home..
  4. Take notes on your pastor/youth pastor's message..
  5. Get up 20 mins earlier and start your day with prayer..
  6. Bake cookies for a neighbor..
Hearing about their challanges was cool because their faces lit up with enthuaism and hope..

  1. When we take the time to make someone else's day better ---> Our day becomes better also.
  2. Doing great things for other people makes us feel great.
  3. We help someone else experience a piece of God's love when we serve them.. <33
  4. Often- the smallest favor leaves the biggest impact on someone's life.

It is totally a win/win situation.

  • When you are feeling blue, one of the best things you can do is go help someone else.

  • When you are feeling cheerful, one of the best things you can do is go help someone else.
Pick one of those challanges- or make your own- and make someone else's day unforgettable.. Believe me- it will give you that warm and fuzzy feeling. We all like that feeling, dont we?!

*keep in mind- when you serve others- you are serving God. Let Him be your motivation.

p.s. A Small group= girls or guys coming together to study the Bible, a book, and/or talk about life.
